Together, we'll unlock the powerful leader within, guided by unwavering faith, and focused on leaving a lasting impact on the world.

The 3 I's of Leadership Framework

Identity

The Foundation of Leadership

As a Christian woman, your identity as a beloved daughter of God is the foundation for everything you do – including how you lead. When you know who you are in Christ, you gain the confidence and clarity you need to step into your calling.

  • Overcome Self-Doubt: Let's replace the voice of insecurity with the truth of who God says you are - capable, gifted, and worthy.

  • Discover Your Purpose: Your identity holds the key to unlocking the unique way God wants you to lead and make a difference in this world.

After spending years battling the lie that I wasn't good enough, God transformed my life. When I was filled with His truth about who He created me to be, I finally developed unshakable confidence. My identity was no longer tied to shifting feelings or the words of others, but anchored in the promises of God's Word. That's the kind of confidence I'm here to help you discover.

Integrity

Live Your Values, Inspire Others

As a Christian leader, your integrity is essential. When you live in alignment with your faith, your actions and words become a powerful beacon, inspiring others to follow.

  • Ethical Decision-Making: Navigating challenging situations can be daunting. Let's develop a framework for making God-honoring choices that align with your values. We'll cover practical strategies and Biblical principles to guide you on your leadership journey.

  • Influence Through Action: Leadership isn't just about what you say, but how you live. Discover how your actions can inspire, motivate, and earn the trust of those you lead. Together, we'll identify steps to ensure your behavior reflects your faith and has a positive impact on the world.

Integrity is the bridge between identity in Christ and the influence you desire. Once you know who you are, doing the right thing comes naturally. This builds trust – when others see your values in action, they're open to being influenced for good.

Influence

Make a Kingdom Impact

As a Christian woman leader, your influence extends far beyond titles or positions. It's woven into the fabric of your relationships and interactions, shaping the world around you.

  • Everyday Influence: We all have a sphere of influence, impacting those closest to us – our families, friends, and colleagues. Discover how your daily choices, words of encouragement, and Christ-like actions can inspire others and create a ripple effect of positivity.

  • Leadership Amplification: Whether you lead a team at work, a small group at church, or simply head your household, your influence takes center stage. Alison Rank: Learning to Live as the Woman You're Becoming

Near the end of my conversation with Alison, I asked her what she would tell a woman who knows her current life and the life she wants are not in alignment.

She did not hesitate.

See the arrived version of yourself clearly, she said. And then: become her friend.

I sat with those three words for a long time after we hung up. Because most of us spend enormous energy trying to become the woman we imagine, fixing ourselves, improving ourselves, planning our way toward her, holding her at arm's length like a reward we have not quite earned yet.

But what if becoming begins differently? What if instead of treating her like a destination, we got to know her?

Alison Rank has been my Women In Automotive mentor for the past year, and in that time she has become one of the small handful of people I can say I am fully myself around. She brings light into every room she enters, which is exactly why the title Chief Illumination Officer suits her so perfectly. She has a gift for helping people stop collecting information and start living from the clarity that was always already inside them. This conversation felt less like an interview and more like what we have been doing all year: two women, mid-season, figuring out together who we are becoming next.

She Saw Her Before She Became Her

Alison's journey into entrepreneurship did not begin with a dramatic resignation or a sudden revelation. It began with four months of paying attention.

She had spent over a decade in a large software organization, doing meaningful work, doing it well, helping teams create and deliver incredible client experiences. But something shifted. The areas where growth had always come naturally started requiring effort that felt wrong, effort that did not produce the result no matter how much she pushed. Eventually, Alison began to recognize that this wasn’t simply hard; it was misaligned.

She got clear on her calling: helping people people move beyond the current reality keeping them stuck and grow towards something greater. As Alison explained, if you can already figure out every step required to reach a goal, it probably isn’t a goal that will require you to grow.

And then she did something that changed everything. She saw the future version of herself. Not as a fantasy. Not as a vague aspiration. She saw her clearly, already arrived, already celebrating the things Alison wanted to achieve. And instead of waiting until circumstances confirmed she had become that woman, she started making decisions as her.

Every time she got stuck in an old pattern, the hesitation, the fear, the voice that said that is too scary, she learned to name it: that is the old Alison. The arrived Alison would do this. And she would do it anyway, still scared, but with more courage because she had already met the woman she was becoming. She had spent time with her. She knew her.

She did not need evidence that she had arrived before she started living like it.

When Peace Replaces the Need for a Plan

On Alison's pre-show questionnaire, she wrote something that stopped me completely and changed the entire direction of our conversation.

She said she was sincerely in a peace beyond understanding, and that it had been more than a decade since she felt this excited to wake up and do what she does.

I had to ask what changed.

What she described was not the arrival of certainty. Her plans were not finalized. The path was not fully visible. What changed was her relationship with uncertainty itself.

For years, she had been chasing what she called having the answer, knowing the plan, and all of the steps before feeling or experiencing the results of what she was even planning for. She was also, she admitted, spending years pursuing and supporting other people's goals, other people's expectations, other people's plans. Executing brilliantly for everyone but herself.

What she let go of was the belief that she had to solve her way to peace. What she took hold of instead was the trust that the answers were already inside her, that accessing them was more powerful than grinding toward them all day trying to manufacture something that was never going to come that way.

Peace did not arrive when Alison finally had the plan. Peace arrived when she stopped believing she needed one before she could move.

And when peace came, her body noticed first. She started sleeping better almost immediately. Not necessarily longer, but she noticed a difference in the quality of her sleep.. The creativity that had felt blocked began to flow in shorter, more concentrated bursts. The right people began finding her in ways they never had before. Life, she said, began to feel like it was magnetizing toward her rather than resisting her at every turn.

For Alison, that is what alignment feels like in the body. Not the absence of uncertainty. The presence of peace within it.

Make Space for the Woman You're Becoming

When Alison stepped fully into her calling as a Chief Illumination Officer, one of the first things she did was physical.

She gathered every book, every resource, every tool and material she had accumulated over two decades of professional life and moved all of it into one intentional workspace. She reclaimed her kitchen and living areas for family and for living. She stopped spreading her work across every nook and cranny of her home and created one place entirely devoted to the work she was called to do.

The result surprised even her.

Resources she had owned for years became immediately accessible in a way they had never been before. During client calls, she could reach for exactly the right book, flip to exactly the right page, in under thirty seconds. Not because the books were new. Because they finally had a home. Her creativity increased. Her productivity increased. Even her sleep changed. Everything that had been scattered began to work together.

But the metaphor is bigger than the workspace.

She made space for the life she said she wanted. Her external environment began to reflect the woman she had decided to become. And the things her mind had been carrying without a place to rest, all that accumulated wisdom, all those years of experience, finally had somewhere to live where they could actually be used.

It is worth sitting with the question she raised without quite naming it: does the life you are currently living make room for the woman you say you are becoming? Not just in your schedule. In your space. In the rhythms of your ordinary days.

Because sometimes becoming is not about acquiring more. It is about creating the conditions for what is already inside you to finally have room to breathe.

Becoming Does Not Require an Overhaul

This is where Alison said something I want every woman reading this to hear slowly.

Once you are clear on what makes you come alive and you can see the destination, you can make a one percent shift toward it daily. Just one percent. Not a dramatic transformation. Not an overnight overhaul. One small, intentional step in the direction of the woman you are becoming.

She referenced an idea from Wayne Dyer about how small, one percent shifts compounded over time can lead us to an entirely different destination. And she added the piece that makes it work, the piece that keeps one percent from becoming four right turns that deposit you exactly where you started.

You need the destination.

Without knowing who you are becoming, one percent this direction and one percent that direction and one percent somewhere else and you have not moved. You have circled. The destination is not about pressure. It is about navigation.

The question is never how do I become her today. The question is what would she do today.

And Alison has given her own one percent a specific shape that I think is worth naming, because it is the most concrete and practical thing she shared in our entire conversation. Every day she moves energy in three directions. Who can I help today, with no ulterior motive? Who can I ask to help me, join me, or invest in what I am building? And who can I simply connect with, someone I love, someone I have been meaning to reach, someone who just needs to know they are on my mind? Those three movements, practiced daily, are how she lives as the woman she has already seen herself becoming. Not in grand gestures. In daily energy, faithfully directed.

That is one percent. Not a new identity. A daily practice that gradually makes the new identity undeniable.

Become Her Friend

I want to bring you back to where we began.

If you are reading this and something in your life feels out of alignment, and the familiar still feels safer than what is on the other side, I want you to know that the gap you feel between where you are and where you want to be is not an accusation. It is an invitation.

Alison said it this way: when you recognize where you are and where you want to be are different, you are right on the cusp of a breakthrough to your becoming.

And then, the three words I have not been able to put down.

BECOME HER FRIEND.

Not her critic. Not her project. Not the exhausted manager of her endless self-improvement. Her friend.

I know what it is to treat yourself as something that needs to be fixed. I spent most of my life there. Picking apart the gaps, cataloguing the failures, measuring the distance between who I was and who I was supposed to be. It was exhausting, and it was also entirely the wrong posture. I had spent so much time managing the distance between who I was and who I thought I should be that I rarely considered befriending the woman who was already becoming.

She is literally already you, Alison said. You have got her inside of you. We just need to get quiet enough to let her speak.

Less solving. More sitting. Less grinding toward the plan. More listening for the still small voice that says this is the way, walk in it. And yes, as Alison reminded me with a smile, that is both biblical and Star Wars.

God is not waiting for you to become some future version of yourself before He sees you fully. He knows you now. He is present in the becoming itself, in every uncertain, unfinished, still-being-refined place of it.

That is the safest relationship that exists. And it is the one from which every other version of becoming flows.

So get quiet enough to know her.

Let her speak.

Take one step today that she would take.

And if you catch nothing else from this conversation, catch this.

Maybe becoming her starts by finally becoming her friend.

Client Testimonials

“My relationship with God has been one of trust and intensely personal. At one time, I talked daily, if not hourly with Him in prayer. Life and people got in the way of this relationship. Due to some extremely hurtful actions done towards me at a church, my life fell apart. I always believed in God but the daily communications had gone by the wayside as the hurt continued to echo in my life. Dara has taught me that it’s okay to hurt, but it’s not okay to keep going in the direction I was going. She re-awakened my desire to spend time with God each and every day and to re-establish the relationship I once had. She also encouraged me to include my husband in prayer and in a bible study, which we had not done for years. Her guidance has been essential to help me re-establish what I had lost. God worked behind the scenes by bringing Dara as my coach. Dara has gently guided me to move one step at a time forward in my life. I am still a work in progress but without Dara, I would be holding God at arms distance.“

“I am so excited about painting this new picture of my life, working in my inner self, and becoming the best version of me.

Dara has been a huge support in this amazing way, her empathy, kindness, and patience along with her strong knowledge and dedication, made this journey an amazing experience.”

“My coach not only listens to everything I say she digs into the WHY behind what I am feeling and equips me with the tools to make changes. She doesn’t tell me what to do she empowers me! I am now hopeful and excited about my future. Having Dara as my Coach has been such an amazing experience.”
